Collaboration is a crucial aspect of open source development. Because of this, developers need a system to formulate ideas as well as implement them in real time. Real time collaborative work is also very useful tool in many other situations. Kobby aims to fit this niche by providing a set of tools in which existing applications can easily implement a collaborative editor. The kobby suite will also provide a server (infinoted) which can be used to host collaborative document trees. Kobby will feature user access privileges, user communication, and public/private revisions of documents to allow users the full benefits of real time collaboration.
