The goal of my project is to improve the Geeklog comment system by adding several key features. The ability to comment is an important feature to both site creators and visitors. Commenting allows readers to provide feedback and content creators to solicit discussion. These aspects add tremendous quality to a website and greatly improve the experience of visitors.

The features I intend to develop are the following: the ability to edit comments after being published, a comment moderation queue, the automatic disabling of comments, improvements to anonymous commenting, improvements to the comment submission interface, and a notification service to inform users of follow-up comments.

Geeklog's current comment system is showing some age. Including these new features will greatly benefit Geeklog and sites running on Geeklog.
