This project refers to the 'project ideas' as given in the Fedora's
Summer Coding 2008 Ideas.

The objectives of the project are to extend Bootchart to use SystemTap to gather system information, to export the information gathered to XML format, to rewrite the current Java parser to parse the XML output, and to generate the Bootchart for further analysis.

We will also investigate what other system information should be captured, and displayed in the Bootchart in order to make Bootchart more meaningful, and useful. We will make it flexible so that users can decide as and when to end logging. We will run and analyze Bootchart on Fedora 8. Fedora 9, and rawhide, and also in a virtualized environment.
