Planetmath.org can be viewed as a semantic network. For a user to learn about a particular topic in most cases requires reading other related articles. The planetmath.org auto-linking system tries to help users find related information. The auto-linking system performs the task of linking articles so that authors will not have to search the planetmath site to find related articles and manually link to them. The auto-linking system is a one of kind process for a dynamic corpus. There are two main issues with the auto-linker that I propose to fix. I propose to completely modularize the auto-linker and make it memory resident. I also plan to implement a few feature enhancements requested by the planetmath community.
