Project title: ArgoUML – Eclipse Integration
The home page of the project: http://argoeclipse.tigris.org Synopsis: Implementation of an Eclipse plugin that will wrap ArgoUML. The plugin will be plugged in the common Eclipse extension points, like those defined in views and editors. The plugin will interact with the projects from Eclipse by providing the possibility to generate skeleton code from UML and generate UML from classes, packages, etc, in the projects. The plugin will try to provide a façade between Eclipse and ArgoUML, that will help another version of ArgoUML to be wrapped with little modification. The plug-in will use Swing inside SWT for some ArgoUML subsystems and pure SWT in places where Swing is inappropriate. Benefits: This will make Eclipse and ArgoUML act like Sun Java Studio Enterprise which is built from Netbeans with more features like UML. The users will have integrated tools for developing, and they will not have to use separate tools to achieve their goal. This would make ArgoUML more usable for users and they would seamlessly move data from projects into UML models and vice versa, simplifying programming life. |
