The Google Summer of Code 2005 is Google's program designed to introduce students to the world of open source software development. It ran through September 1st, 2005.
By pairing applicants up with the proven wisdom and experience of established prominent open source organizations (listed below), we hoped to make great software happen. The Google Summer of Code 2005 is over, but you can see a list of results or an endlessly entertaining map of the successful projects. We'd like to thanks our participating students and organizations for all their hard work making the Google Summer of Code 2005 succeed!
