issue 197 (Allow attaching to an e-mail message as a destination) Cc changed by mcored   -   Glad you agreed to the compromised solution :) don't have to say sorry. Sometimes I cant remember myself what it can do. Its a do-and-discover approach for all of the users... and I wouldnt say wiki is perfect in its explainations. If you can get something out of it, I would be glad.

issue 197 (Allow attaching to an e-mail message as a destination) commented on by jas-form...@mjp.net   -   Didn't know that it would store the file path into the clipboard when the destination was set to file (I always left the target as Clipboard). In that case, yes, I agree with you, sorry about that. Going to reread the Wiki (seems like some pictures or other elements are missing, so I may have skipped the section describing file targets).

issue 197 (Allow attaching to an e-mail message as a destination) changed by mcored   -   Apologies for having to execute the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto_principle here. Adding "Email" to all of the uploader destinations does not seem vital in this specific issue. One could save couple of seconds in this addition. If you set the destination to "File", a local file path will be copied to the clipboard. All you need to do is to create a new email, press "Attach" button and paste the local file path in the file name text box and press OK. The file will be attached.

issue 197 (Allow attaching to an e-mail message as a destination) reported by jas-form-google@mjp.net   -   What new or enhanced feature are you proposing? A new destination option for all categories (primarily images, though text, files, URL would be nice as well) to send to an "e-mail message". This will simply either attach (in the case of files or images), or paste (text or URL) the contents into a new e-mail message opened in either the Windows default mail handler, or a user-selectable program. What goal would this enhancement help you achieve? This option would save time for those that do a lot of testing, design, development, web work, graphics, or communicate a lot via e-mail. Having images go straight into an attachment would be the primary wish, however, if the capability is easily extended to others, then that would be great as well.

issue 196 (Cursor location wrong on multimonitor setup) reported by theflxkid   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Multi monitor setup. 2. Enabled capture of cursor 3. Capture a specific window cursor doesn't show up 4. Select window to capture with mouse, then move mouse to display to the left of display where captured window is. 5. Overlap cursor on display to left in area where captured window would be if it were on this display. Capture again...now mouse cursor is in screenshot even though it was actually on a display to the left when the capture was done What is the expected output? What do you see instead? What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? I'm on Win7 64 bit running 3.25.0.0 beta Please provide any additional information below. It appears that Z-capture is getting the location of the mouse wrong on a multidisplay setup. I have 3 display, with the primary display in the middle, a smaller display to the left and monitor equal in size to the primary monitor to the right.

issue 171 (Capture drop-down menus OR sub-menus) commented on by narayanaras   -   mcored, The behavior as reported by me is NOT weird: Zscreen behaves exactly as designed. (My earlier report was a incorrectly worded.) Here is the explanation: In the "Active Window" mode, Zscren is SUPPOSED to capture the Active Window. In this mode, capturing the menus is optional. To capture the menus, I have to tick in the checkbox as you highlighted here: http://www.imagebam.com/image/46859457671335. If I do NOT select that checkbox, Zscreen will ignore the menus, but still capture the active window. So my screenshot actually shows the correct "as designed" behavior. But this does not satisfy the need I highlighted in this thread: Often we need to capture ONLY the menu (or submenu); but NOT the active window. Therefore, this feature request for capturing a given menu ONLY should be accepted. Please confirm.

issue 195 (Active window capture breaks for fullscreen windows) reported by ultradud...@gmail.com   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Turn 'Prefer Desktop Window Manager' on 2. Turn 'Clean transparent corners' on 3. Take an active window shot of a full screen window What is the expected output? What do you see instead? You should be able to see the whole window instead of the bottom-right being cut off. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 3.25.0.0 Beta on Windows 7 RC Build 7100 32-Bit. Please provide any additional information below. If you also turn 'Include shadow effect' on, it's easier to see what happened. http://images.ultradude25.co.cc/zscreen/Mozilla_Firefox-2009.12.27-19.42.52.png I would like to be able to leave this setting on, but still be able to capture fullscreen windows without using fullscreen capture which will also capture my taskbar. Perhaps have ZScreen detect if the window is fullscreen and disable 'Clean Transparent Corner' and 'Include shadow effect' since they aren't displayed in fullscreen anyway.

Bad authorization is the error I think. I'm running a default "Send Image to Tinypic". I haven't set up a login for Tinypic.

issue 187 (Proposal: shadow and rounded rectangle for crop shots) commented on by mcored   -   Looks definitely great! Decision of where to place the options will depend on whether or not we give users the option to have shadows/rounded corners for crop shot but not for selected window or selected window but not for crop shot. If this is the case options will need to be duplicated in each tab: CropShotShadow CropShotRoundedCorners SelectedWindowShadow SelectedWindowCorners Don't worry about the GUI, if you wish to commit, you can have that in XMLSettings and we will later implement in the GUI.

issue 187 (Proposal: shadow and rounded rectangle for crop shots) reported by theone256   -   I have refactored the code that does the shadows and corner removal to be able to use it for crop shots. Examples: http://i45.tinypic.com/20gcwo8.png http://i50.tinypic.com/989g0i.jpg I was thinking of adding 2 options (rounded corners, shadow). But I don't know where to put them, as they can apply both to "Crop Shot" and "Selected Window" and so can't go in either tab. What do you think?

issue 186 (no transparency for clipboard) reported by theone256   -   When choosing "Clipboard" as a destination and capturing an image with "Clear background", the background is not transparent. There is instead a gray border around the window. Even if it cannot be transparent, the background should at least be white. See attached screenshot.
