8 November 2011: ZNC 0.202 for Windows is now available for download!

20 March 2012: ZNC 0.204 for Windows will be out soon! A GUI + tray icon is finally in the works!

Introduction

ZNC is an advanced IRC bouncer with many features, including support for loadable modules and a sleek web interface. Unfortunately, it doesn't run on Microsoft Windows out of the box.

And that is why this project has been started - to bring the best IRC bouncer out there to Windows (server) users! You'll always find a current ZNC version, ready for download.

The official ZNC website is located at http://en.znc.in/wiki/ZNC. Please make sure to visit there as well, since this project page is for the Windows flavor of ZNC only. The main work has been done by the ZNC team and contributors.

Security Alerts

August 6th 2010: All available Windows releases before 0.094-rc1 (August 15 2010) are vulnerable to a Denial of Service attack. Connected users are able to terminate ZNC.

July 21st 2009: All available Windows releases before 0.072 suffer from a security problem! The bug possibly allows remote retrieval of arbitrary files by logged in ZNC users! Please update your ZNC asap!

Contact / Contribute

You can find me (KiNgMaR) on EFNet, #znc. I'm the one who's responsible for the main program's well-being on Windows. For questions concerning modskype and infobot, please contact flakes (on EFNet). For general questions about ZNC, feel free to just ask in the channel (after you studied the FAQ, of course).

Spread the word

If you like ZNC, and especially ZNC on Windows, spread the word. Link here from your favorite web forum, your website, twitter, Facebook or your away message!
