This is a Windows installer for Zim, a WYSIWYG text editor written in Gtk2-Perl which aims to bring the concept of a wiki to your desktop.
Status:
- App is usable
- Can be installed to your desktop or a portable storage device (thumbdrive)
- Portable mode does not use Registry or create an uninstaller.
- Installed app includes a complete minimal copy of Perl + GTK, weighing in at over 60MB -- needs to be pared down and compressed
- At least one core plugin (Spell Check) fails -- so, don't try to use Spell Check.
- Some cosmetic issues
The current version of Zim in this package is 0.28 (released upstream 19 Feb 2009).
