Flashblock
Getting the script to work with FlashBlock.

What is the issue?

In case you didn't realize, YouTube's video player is done in Flash. Having an extension named "FlashBlock" would, well, block the Flash player. Not to worry. Flash is pretty damn annoying, but you should be using AdBlock Plus (with EasyList) instead. Regardless, here's a simple workaround:

Firefox 3.5 Instructions

  1. Go to the "Tools" menu.
  2. Click on "Add-ons"
  3. In the "Extensions" section, look for Flashblock and click on it once.
  4. Click on the "Options" button that appears.
  5. In this new dialog, go to the "Whitelist" tab.
  6. In the textbox, enter "youtube.com" without quotes.
  7. Click "Add"
  8. Click "OK" in the dialog.
  9. Now, it should work together.
