Receiver
The tin can tuner box in a 1g and 2g radio.

Introduction

The actual XM Receiver is known as the '''metal can''' or just the '''can'''. This is a small metal box (about 3" by 1") that is part of all XM Receivers. The XM Direct and XMPCR are actually nothing more than the can itself, some audio connectors, and a connector to wire the control cable to the can's I/O pins. (In the case of the PCR, there is a USB-Serial converter included.)

Details

This is a pinout of the metal can, from XM411.com
