The Xerte Project provides a full suite of open source tools for elearning developers and content authors producing interactive learning materials.

Xerte Online Toolkits is a powerful suite of browser-based tools that allow anyone with a web browser to log on and create interactive learning materials easily.

Xerte Online Toolkits provides a number of project templates for creating online presentations and interactive content. Content is assembled using an intuitive interface, and multiple users can collaborate on shared projects. Xerte Toolkits is free software, released under the GNU Public License.

The Xerte Project is managed and led by Julian Tenney of the IS Learning Team at The University of Nottingham. Patrick Lockley looks after the web development of Xerte Online Toolkits. Andy Beggan is the project's sponsor.
