WE NO LONGER NEED SECONDARY WEB HOSTING DUE TO THE EXPANDED CAPABILITIES OF GOOGLE CODE. PLEASE MODIFY THIS SITE AS NECESSARY. I HAVE LEFT THE OLD WEB SITE AT http://xwrt.org THOUGH, SHOULD YOU NEED TO REFERENCE IT.

X-Wrt

X-Wrt is a set of packages and patches for OpenWrt that are oriented towards technically apt end users. It is a place for unencumbered additions and changes to the OpenWrt.

This project was originally hosted at Berlios, http://svn.berlios.de/wsvn/xwrt/ . The revision history here at Google Code is quite INCOMPLETE. It only shows recent commits. See the project from the near start at Berlios, where it continues to exist. We thank Berlios for continuing to host our project. The first several thousand commits are documented at Berlios.

This project was founded to be a community project, and there have been countless contributors to this project since its inception, something I'm quite proud of. Long after the founder became less involved, others worked to make this project what it is today.

Setting up a foundation that was completely non-commercial and open was critical. The original mission statement I wrote is still the mission statement today.

Mission

This project was founded to be entirely community driven. There are NO monetary donations allowed to be made to this project. You may make individual monetary donations to specific developers, of course, but the project itself accepts NO money or other donations.

Credit is given equally in alphabetical order (at least on this site).

Anyone is welcome to join the project.

Developers

(sorted alphabetically) Different people made contributions during different periods. Some made a few, some made a lot.. but we can't get into that kind of quantification. See commit list here AND at Berlios for the full history (most at Berlios, but more recent commits here).

I make honorable mention of Travis Kemen (thepeople), who was with this project when it founded, and remained consistently involved. Fofware, thepeople, lubek, myself, and a handful of others made the majority of commits.
