Any intent of updating or continuing work on this (badly needed) plugin?
is the plugin or the update "badly needed"?
I'm using it successfully, but there is one thing I'd like to add. I'm willing to pay $50 for a simple add-on: I need a field added to wp-register that would ask for a "group code" that when the correct code was entered, upon registration, the user would automatically be assigned to the corresponding group. For example, on our site we have three groups, clients, photographers, and family and friends. We have protected content that is only for our clients, so I use this plugin to make sure that only our clients are getting the protected content. The trouble is, people keep trying to access the content before they are manually granted permission. It would be nice if I could give the client a secret code that they could enter so that I don't have to manually add users to that group. I don't think it's a very complicated thing to do, but I don't know how to do it!
