| Issue 74: | Ritual of Summoning not bindable | |
| 1 person starred this issue and may be notified of changes. | Back to list |
What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Bind Ritual of Summoning (or a summoning macro (plain or with target=mouseover)). 2. Try it on any frame (except target frame). What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The ritual should start channeling with the appopriate unit. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? R87/88 Windows Please provide any additional information below. This might be a general problem with channeled spells. I can't find any other channeled and targeted spells to try out. This issue was present in the 2.1 versions as well. |

I forgot the "What do you see instead?" part, which is a failed cast. Getting some kind of generic invalid target message, depending on what macro I use (if any). |

Verify you are using r88. All other version prior had a bug introduced by a Blizzard change that needed to be resolved. |

I noticed I didn't use the latest one, my bad. But the problem remains in r88 I'm afraid. "Target is not in your party" on whoever I click on (unless I have them targeted, making the addon pretty much void). |

Can you please post the full macro you are using here. I use click-casting with Mind Flay without any issues, so something weird is going on here.. and I can't find anyone to test with on my warlock, sadly. |

I've mainly been trying to do it with the spell itself without any macros whatsoever. But I also tried the very simple "/cast [target=mouseover] Ritual of Summoning" macro while playing around (now and earlier). Was going to add more flavor to it once it started working. (Just noticed a very minor issue in the macro index editing box. If I press enter (multiple times) when it has editing focus, it seems to expand downwards pushing other controls further down.) |
