The NetCDF Viewer

NetCDF (network Common Data Form) is a set of software libraries and machine-independent data formats that support the creation, access, and sharing of array-oriented scientific data. http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/ . WW Geo bundles a NetCDF viewer for the following conventions:

1. NetCDF File types: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf-java/
2. NetCDF conventions: COARS, Models3, WRF, CF, and others (see link above).
3. To use the viewer select "File/Open Dataset" or simply point the built-in web browser to any OpeNDAP/THREDDS data server such as http://dataportal.ucar.edu:9191/dods , then click a dataset URL to open it automatically into the NetCDF view!
