Hello,

My name is Mohamed Ahmed, I am a java developer myself who is very fond of the wicket framework, I have been studying and using this framework for the past year now. I think you guys are doing excellent work by building on the power Wicket by creating a rich user interface for it by combining jQuery and jQuery UI to create wiquery for wicket. I am excited about the work you guys are doing, I hope I will be of some help as well in the future. I am very tied up in work and projects on the side right now, but I am hoping to become less tied up in the new year, and hopefully I will be of some help at that time, if you guys need any help. Anyways, I just wanted to let you guys know that there are developers out there who truly appreciate the exciting and valuable work you guys are doing for all of us who enjoy working with the wicket framework. With a rich UI such as wiquery, wicket will become untouchable I believe. Cheers.

Hi Mohamed,

First of all thanks a lot for your comment, we're always glad to have developer feedbacks about our project and I'm really happy you enjoy wiQuery.

Any help is appreciated, and if you want to spend some time helping us, don't hesitate to report issues, to ask questions (etc.).

Thanks,

Lionel Armanet

Hey Guys,

I was looking to use the jquery week calendar plugin(http://www.redredred.com.au/projects/jquery-week-calendar/) with wicket. Would you guys be able to direct me on how I would be able to integrate such a jquery plugin with the wicket framework, thanks in advance for your help.

Hello y'all,

Very good job on wiQuery so far. I've incorporated the tabs in my webapp and they works like a charm. One qestion at this time though: how would you determine which tab is selected? I've been trying to get a single tab reference out of the tabs object but can't seem to find it. Sorry for putting this question here but I believe there is no real forum for user questions yet? Anyway, keep it up! Love it so far.

Ronald

Looks like a cool small framework. Unfortunately there aren't many good component libraries for wicket. But you are definitely on the right track. Are you planning on any other components you want to include?

Hi,

My name is Ernesto Reinaldo Barreiro and I have been using Wicket for over two years now (and love it;-). I do not have used WiQuery? but have experience integrating Wicket with JS libraries and creating components. See

http://code.google.com/p/antilia/ http://code.google.com/p/antilia/wiki/GettingStarted

Recently I have contacted Cemal Bayramoglu regarding the creation of an integration with JQGrid. See the details here.

http://old.nabble.com/-whishlist--JS-libraries-td27080348.html

I might find some time to lend a hand... if needed. Recently I have created an integration of JQGgrid with Struts 2 (I needed for an internal project at a company I'm working at). See

http://code.google.com/p/antilia-struts/ http://code.google.com/p/antilia-struts/wiki/SearchPage

Are there any sources of JQGrid integration I could check-out?

My e-mail is reiern70 at gmail dot com

Best,

Ernesto

How do you get the selected index of a Tab? The only available function is to get the selected default index. How about the selected active index?

Great ideas comes with great dedication. Anyway, I like the way you guys integrate jQuery and Wicket. If you may, I will add some few plugins and implement other Wicket plugin like jQuery validationEngine with nice and fancy UI stuff. Now, I'm on the process of using this cool wiQuery into an enterprise application. I'll keep you posted. One more thing, if I want to change the jquery version 1.8.11 to 1.8.14, do I just need to replace the jQuery files and repackage it?

If you need some hands, count me in. Most of my web project runs in jQuery, Wicket and with few DWR.
