Reported by james.cr...@gmail.com, Feb 12, 2009
The guestbook will not work if short_open_tag = Off in the php.ini
configuration file. This is off by default and prevents php code
surrounded in <? and ?> from working.

PHP even notify users that "Using short tags should be avoided when
developing applications or libraries that are meant for redistribution",
and developing an application that ignores this guidance will not work (as
I have found) in a lot of server setups.

I suggest that all the <? tags in the code should be replaced with <?php to
ensure that this problem is eliminated.

Many thanks,
James
