The locations of sightings may be plotted on maps loaded into the system. Maps should be 24bit colour images, and can be added by selecting 'new map' from the file menu. It is recommended that maps be stored in the directory C:\whalespotter\maps. Give the map a name, and enter the top left and bottom right coordinates. Maps should be in cartesian coordinates, and curved geometries are currently not supported. You may load multiple maps into the system, which can then be selected from the drop down list. On each map you can select the species or individual that you wish to view.
