HowToInstall Wiki page commented on by kschepps   -   I solved the "failed to find system.img on sd card" by moving the system.sqsh in the same folder as AndroidApps, downloads, Music, PICTURES, and wallpapers. To organize my Windows files from Android files, I created a folder called Android which contained the folders above, and when Android starts up for the first time it built the data file in that Android folder. Android looks for the system file in the same folder as the data file.

issue 86 (Find my location without GPS) commented on by mustshirleyb   -   Thanks for the update. Wow it does seem to work! Since writing my initial post here, I discovered that the HTC touch does have a GPS chip and I got the windows mobile GPS hack working (sometimes). I can verify that if I get a lock in windows and then boot Android, google maps is also able to find my location in Android.

issue 20 (turning screen on shows underlay of linux) commented on by sportsterBK8   -   this actually happens for me every once in the while and won't become resolved until the phone is restarted, weirdest of all is that the code is backwards on the screen, not each letter written before the previous one, but as if you are looking into a mirror. Don't expect it to be addressed, but if you ever get around to it, this information may possibly help.

issue 120 (Enhancement: Multiboot for Kaiser) commented on by jmhalder   -   *i'll mention that DZO(martin) has added preliminary changes to initialize hardware correctly from a cold boot, so its just a hair closer to having a direct boot system, although the SPL would have to be re-written as mentioned... once again, i'd LIKE to see this, although I'm awful doubtful.*

issue 122 (Bluetooth A2DP protocol: choppy sound!) reported by spodg01   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Take A2DP stereo headset. I used Sony DR-22BT, or Pioneer AVIC-D3 bluetooth module in car. 2. Pair with vogue android phone. I used Verizon's VX6900 3. Start playing music off the phone. What did you expect? What actually happened? Expecting A2DP quality sound in my speakers on paired bluetooth device. Sound is choppy, plays 0.5 seconds with 0.5second silence, plays again. Otherwise works fine. Controls (play/pause) work okay.

issue 121 (Phone becomes somewhat non-reponsive when viewing/composing ...) reported by robert.haegele   -   I'd like to report this issue. It's relatively rare, and it's possible that no one will be able to replicate it, but I've experienced it a couple of times. What steps will reproduce the problem? Since it is rare like I said, it's hard to say exactly what causes it. But this happens when viewing and SMS thread/composing a new message within that thread. What did you expect? What actually happened? I expect to be able to type and send an SMS, obviously. Instead, the phone becomes somewhat non-responsive: the power button still works, and I can tap in the compose area to bring up the on-screen keyboard, type up a message, and type "send" on the screen to send a message. But none of the softkeys work at all, nor does the on-screen keyboard, so there is no way for me to exit the SMS application, forcing me to reboot. Which system are you using, when were the various components built that you're using, and are you using anything non-standard (like a custom kernel)? Basefiles-20091116 zImage-24-10-09 rootfs20091117 system-droid-ion-r2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php? t=582810) Please provide any additional information below. That's about it, I think.

issue 88 (out of the box for kaiser doesnt work..) commented on by jmhalder   -   when they say out of box, and you say out of box, are you refering to the same things? Its probably ideal if you have a win 6.1 rom (not the 6.0 rom that the phone came with) and you will want to have a 1.7x radio rom, even then, I havent bothered with the 1.6 builds yet since most of the tiny solutions we had for 1.5 are being backported to 1.6.

issue 120 (Enhancement: Multiboot for Kaiser) commented on by jmhalder   -   Although it would be great to have a SPL that would boot a linux kernel and (maybe if a key was depressed) boot to WinMo, but I DO believe that windows mobile initializes alot of the hardware, we'd probably break support for almost any hardware extension that has been made to work properly (wifi/camera/data/calls/etc.) Although I agree this would be AWESOME, it will probably never happen. (One option would be to find a way to run JUST the CE kernel and drivers, and not boot any "home" screen at all, but to just boot to haret.exe with a startup.txt, its realistic and would probably take 15(ish) seconds to boot the CE kernel

issue 105 (this is awfully confusing) commented on by jmhalder   -   this IS a development build, I've seen it change GREATLY from a .8 build that booted solely from ram, to a 1.5/1.6 build that supports decent power management with wifi/gps/data/camera... its amazing work that people have done to get this working, its too bad that you are obviously not technical enough to understand how to install this, all the information IS available to do so, but it is QUITE technical... there is no warranty or support program for people who dont understand. This is not an "issue", this section is for things like screen orientation problems, bluetooth, power management issues, camera issues... not personal issues.
