issue 24 (upgrade for google voice?) commented on by TylTru   -   Right now I'm using a combination of GV Connect for Dashboard, and Fluid, with the Google Voice page as a menu-extra SSB with the userscript for it, and Gizmo, with the Telephone SIP application. It works wonders. Just an intermediate plan until Vocito supports GVoice.

issue 24 (upgrade for google voice?) commented on by tpoage   -   I just signed up for Google Voice and immediately said to myself "this is great and powerful, but without a native app or slick-looking cloud app (think MobileMe), there's no way I'm using it." Then I find out about Vocito, which appears to be amazing. Shortly thereafter I find out that Vocito doesn't work with Google Voice, which is a huge letdown. Talk about a Roller-Coaster.

issue 24 (upgrade for google voice?) commented on by cevelez   -   It seems unreasonable to have developed such a simple, efficient, customer friendly application for a service that might not have been rolled out formally (GrandCentral), only to abandon it once the service it works with (Now GoogleVoice) becomes officially rolled out. I enjoyed using this application, it linked my cloud (GoogleApps) to my brick and mortar world (My home, my work, my mobile phone, etc.) without having to launch my browser to get to the cloud. Please, please... change the code in such a way that it communicates with GoogleVoice. Thank you

issue 23 (Feature Request: New Voicemail Notifier) reported by ryan.sinden   -   It would be great if you could add a new voicemail notifier, similar to the Gmail notifier. Also, with the upgrade from GrandCentral to Google Voice, it would be nice if it gave the option to use your Google Contacts as opposed to the Address Book. And while I'm on the Google Voice thing it would really be nice if you could send text messages directly from the Vocito app. Thanks

issue 21 (Extensions) reported by williamcerniuk   -   Vocito only has limited use in corporate america because we still have extensions and conference call codes to enter. On the iPhone for example, I can enter a phone number like 456.456.5678,,,,33443# and it dials into the trunk, then routes the call to the extension 33443. The # tells the pbx end of entry and I get the party I am calling. So to get Vocito to connect my desk phone to another party, we need to enter extensions in the dialing sequence at both numbers... Without this capability, using vocito in the business environment is limited.

issue 19 ([PATCH] Dial textual phone numbers) reported by matt+g...@matt-good.net   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Try to dial "800-GOOG-411" What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Vocito should translate the number to 800-466-4411 and dial that. Instead it's triggering the bad behavior seen in issue #18. Even with the patch for that it will initiate an address book search when you type a letter into the Call field. Please provide any additional information below. The attached patch changes the behavior so that it will only start a search if the first character typed is a letter. This way typing a name will still start an address book search, but if you type a numeric area code followed by some letters it will assume those are part of the phone number. This also works if you select an address book entry containing letters.

Type "a" in the "Call" field What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I expect to see the Address Book open and switch to the search field. Instead it triggers whatever button is after the "From" field. In 1.1.0 this is the "Dial" button, causing an error dialog because the number is invalid. In my trunk checkout this is the Help button. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 1.1.0 and SVN trunk on OSX 10.5 Please provide any additional information below. I've attached a patch which seems to produce the expected behavior for me.

issue 13 (Applescript to change default from number without making a c...) reported by scott.houchin   -   Another suggested enhancement: Add the ability to change the default "From" number without making a call. I'm now using MarcoPolo to auto switch things like when my network changes (indicating whether I'm in the office or not). Marco Polo also has the capability to run an apple script, and it would be great to have it tell Vocito to make future calls from my office phone instead of my home phone.
