Vivace Player is intended to be a very simple music player with a no-nonsense approach to libraries (library functionality is not yet implemented). Creating a library will not be required and nothing will be added/removed from the library auto-magically. Vivace will not scan directories unless the user explicitly initiates a scan.

Python, Qt4, Phonon and the bindings between them are required. You have a choice of Phonon backends on Linux; using Phonon's gstreamer backend is recommended.
