Goal of the Project:
The goal of the Form 1040NR EZ Software project is to develop a Free Non Resident Tax Software, to file Tax Forms 1040NR-EZ and Form 8843.
We want the software to benefit thousands of International Students and Non Resident Aliens, studying and working in the United States.
In the future we plan to release other Non Resident Tax forms like Form 1040NR, Form 843 for F1,OPT,H1B,J1,L1 taxes.
We also have plans on Form 1042-S compliance software for employers, employing Non Resident Aliens.
What is open source software?
An open source software is one, where the source code is released to the general public for scrutiny and testing.
Unlike proprietary systems, open source software has better security and accuracy, due to the extensive participation and feedback from the end users.
