Are there any known issues with snipmate snippets? I am trying to add some snippet functionality and failing. My global snippets work in other filetypes and my vimwiki.snippets file is ignored as well. Any help is appreciated and thanks again for your work.
2yabyum117:
We use different approach to map <tab> in insert mode. I tried to couple them up but had no luck.
You can add the following to your .vimrc let g:vimwiki_table_auto_fmt = 0. Then vimwiki wouldn't use <tab> to format tables hence snipmate's <tab> would expand it's snippets.
Then (to enable table formatting with your keyboard) you can also add disabled mappings with your own keys to .vim/after/ftplugin/vimwiki.vim (create if needed):
2yabyum117:
Regarding the above workaround to enable snipMate snippets with vimwiki, the .vimrc change works, but re-enabling vimwiki tables use of <CR>, etc... via ~/.vim/after/ftplugin/vimwiki.vim does not, and in fact yields error messages: (E117: Unknown function and E15: invalid expression). (this is with the development version of vimwiki current as of the date of this message)
Specific error messages (in French in my system) when hitting CR on table:
I looked for them and these functions are defined in ~/.vim/autoload/vimwiki/tbl.vim but for some reason .vim/after/ftplugin/vimwiki.vim doesn't know this...
@dkhornord Those functions where moved to a new location, so you should use:
@habamax This worked perfectly. Thanks a lot! (for the solution in particular and for the awesome vimwiki plugin in general)
