I am not able to see profiling info after running mac-tick-processor v8.log. Here is the output:
Statistical profiling result from v8.log, (0 ticks, 0 unaccounted, 0 excluded).

To build v8, I ran make native.

I noticed that says there is a ENABLE_LOGGING_AND_PROFILING flag, but I didn't see the flag specified anywhere in the build documentation.

Any help?

Looks like --prof is currently broken on Mac. The generated v8.log does not contain any "tick" lines.

I bisected this down to (as the first bad commit). Andrey, can you take a look?

Is it only on Mac? I can confirm the same bug using ubuntu and linux-tick-processor.

Right, as it turns out Linux is affected too.

I have reverted r12649 and r12650, now --prof works again. I'll leave this issue open until we have fixed and re-landed those changes.

Having the same behavior than #2 (linux). Also ran make native to build v8.
