Robot Operating System (ROS) packages for the ART autonomous vehicle by researchers from the University of Texas at Austin and Austin Robot Technology.

This repository is no longer actively maintained.

You are free to use it, and the authors are happy to answer questions and maybe even help. But, Fuerte was its last ROS release.

Stacks provided

  • art_vehicle contains code for the ART autonomous vehicle, which was retired in 2013 after many years of operation.
  • velodyne supports the Velodyne HDL-64E 3D LIDAR on ROS Electric. Active development has moved to ros-drivers/velodyne, hosted on github. That version supports additional Velodyne LIDAR models on Fuerte and newer ROS distributions.
