What is URSUS ?

URSUS is an application server being developed to allow the development of mission-critical, real-time systems in Java. By encapsulating such complicated memory management and thread priority control, all types of Java developers will be able to create these systems more easily and more safely.

We chose the name URSUS, meaning "bear", to incorporate imagery of Hokkaido, our base of operations. This name represents our desire to transmit information from Hokkaido throughout Japan and soon the rest of the world.
