This project will create machine readable, compilable source code from a surviving printout of first edition unix from June 1972. Many userland binaries are still available in machine readable form and this project aims to restore an incomplete but running system of first edition unix. The software will retain the copyright of the original authors which is currently licensed freely under the Caldera ancient UNIX license.
