DEPENDENCIES: Python (>= 2.3)

mkisofs

squashfs-tools

Xnest

These are all in the ubuntu default repository so no need to add any repositories, you can get 'em with a simple apt-get install.

INSTALLING:

This script doesn't need installing just untar-it and run it. Make sure to have easygui.py (included in this tar) in the same folder as Ulc.py when running it.

RUNNING:

Open a terminal, untar Ulc.tar.bz2 in your home and, give Ulc.py executable permissions and run it, or you could run it with python (python Ulc.py), just remember to run it with a terminal, because other programs used by Ulc.py will give you useful information about what's going on. When you are finish editing the Live-cd just close the Xnest window, the program will continue and it will make another Live-cd.

FEATURES:

Ulc allows you to edit an Ubuntu Live-cd to your likeness by booting it on an xnest window. It will look as if it's fully booted, but the only things running are:

-Metacity -Gnome-panel -Nautilus
