by Greg Baker How about RTF output? Then the resulting documents could get given to small-minded people who only use MS-Word and they'd never know that anything odd was happening. (RTF files with a .doc ending get opened as if they were in real MS-Word format.)

Would be great
I would love to see this. I did already wrote a book1? with txt2tags and we choosed the way from txt2tags->html->Adobe Indesign. Luckily I did not had the hassle to do the last step!
I did enjoy writing with txt2tags and the (needed and wanted) html conversion was so easy. With a RTF output txt2tags could address many "targets" which are now unreachable. Currently I am planning a fourth edition of my book2? and currently evaluating txt2tags dockbook target for the way to indesign.
