Add the LaTeX-beamer (presentation) target, suggested by Pascal Steichen. He
have made a patch
for txt2tags v2.3.2, available at http://pst.libre.lu/toolz/t2t/.

As txt2tags progressed quite a bit since your version 2.3.2, the patch does
not apply cleanly anymore. I put the code fragments together manually for
version 2.5 of txt2tags and attached the patch.

Good work, but creating a new target is maybe a bit overdone.
One can simply do a little bit of postprocessing (see attachment) of the tex
target.
Also I don't like the automatic switching of the slides with a new
subsection/section,
I use BEGINSLIDE and ENDSLIDE.

Interesting comment Christophe, I'll have a look, mz latex-beamer patch is far
from
being perfect, input such yours is very useful. But still prevail a preference
to
keep a separate target...

I'm now using Pascal's Beamer patch added by Oliver. Thank you very much for it.

I don't have any knowledge with Beamer, but I needed it to make a presentation,
and
since I prefer to use txt2tags for everything, I was happy to discover
something was
made for Beamer. I could make a great presentation in a short time.

This beamer target is a MUST-HAVE for txt2tags, I hope it will enter the svn
code
soon because it's so useful... (I hope it could also be easily tweaked so we
could
add / choose a new theme quickly)

I'm including here a patch based on the previous one, but for the devel version
of
txt2tags (2.6b), because the one for 2.5 doesn't apply automatically on the up
to
date version.
I hope it may help to integrated it better to the current code.

there was a remaining error in the previous patch, so here is a new version, I
could
compile my project with it this time...

I do agree with people prefering not to have a separate target for the same
reason.

Besides this, I just posted on the mailing list proof of concept code to get the
latex beamer target with a very simple rules bank and a template file.
http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_name=4B8DAB4B.5030209%40lif.u
niv-mrs.fr

Templates are an easy way to override the default ones (without resorting to
cumbersome postprocs). There is a tentative patch for this here:
http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_name=4B8D753D.4000203%40lif.u
niv-mrs.fr

Hope this helps to convince that beamer can be featured without modifying the
core of
txt2tags.

I noticed the automatic inclusion of:
%\usepackage{beamerarticle}

even for a normal LaTeX document would be quite annoying in the case you wish
to
customise your colors (there is a clash with the color package:
! LaTeX Error: Option clash for package color. )

So beware, I've lost quite much time this morning because of this.
