Twee is a system for creating interactive stories or other forms of hypertext that can be viewed in any Web browser. Stories created with Twee can branch like a Choose Your Own Adventure and manipulate variables.

A command-line version of Twee is available that uses Python, or you may use Twine, which runs on either Windows or OS X. Both have similar capabilities, but Twine allows you to edit your stories graphically in a story map.
