Project Information
As the Semantic Web developed very fast in recent years, the need for sharing knowledge about a given resource, based solely on the URI denoting that resource, becomes critical to achieving a fully open, global, scalable, and ubiquitous Semantic Web. Tupelo is a well defined uniform protocol for managing data and semantic (RDF) metadata in such way.
What is currently lacking is a desktop client that would allow browsing through Tupelo. Such a client would connect with one or more servers and display data organized by metadata, using tables, trees, graphs. This client should also be able to connect to various data sources.
This project will be implemented in Adobe AIR , making it possible to support different operating system. Additionally, I will write a common library in Action Script 3.0, which provides some basic components for similar application. This lib can be used to implement new Flash or Flex application based on Tupelo, which might be embeded in user's browser.
