TunesRemote is a web application running on OSX 10.5 which serves up iPhone optimized pages to control your iTunes playback.

Why

For when you run AirTunes, or have a mac near near your stereo set to play music from. You will now be able to use your iPhone or iPod touch browser to control music playback on this mac through iTunes.

How

Once you have downloaded the application to your mac, stick it in a convenient place. Start it up, and click 'Start Server'. TunesRemote will now scan your iTunes Library, and when done will display the fact that the server is running. The url's through which you can reach your mac will also be displayed. You can now quit TunesRemote. On your phone, use Safari to browse to the given url to acces your music. Add a bookmark to your home screen for convenient access later.
