All in one displays for your inventory, bank, and keyring
Featured, Bagnon
Updated Nov 15, 2009 by j85a...@gmail.com

General

Bagnon is an addon that merges all of your bags into three frames: One for your inventory, one for your bank, and one for your keyring. Beyond the basic all-in-one inventory functionality, Bagnon also provides the following features:

  • Items can be colored based on quality
  • Quest items can be highlighted
  • Text searching
  • Offline viewing of inventory information from your other characters (via Bagnon_Forever or Bagnon_Armory)
  • DataBroker plugin support. Both the inventory and bank frames allow you to display a databroker plugin in the bottom left corner.

Included Addons

  • Bagnon - Provides single window displays for your inventory, bank, and keyring
  • Bagnon_Config - Provides a means of configuring said frames :P
  • Bagnon_Forever - Enables the ability to view your character's bank, or items from any other character on the same server, from anywhere. (You need to log onto each character at least once for this to work).
  • Bagnon_Tooltips - When hovering over an item, this tells you who has an item, and where.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I display tokens?

Short answer: Install Currency Tracker

Long answer, taken from a currency tracker comment:

In Bagnon's options menu, you have to have the option "Enable databroker frame" ticked. If that is enabled, you should see a frame looking sorta like this "< >" when you open Bagnon, on the lower end of the bag frame, next to the money display. Those < > are arrows and you can click them to cycle through your Broker plugins, like CurrencyTracker. When you have no other plugins, CurrencyTracker should show right up, otherwise you'll have to click a few times until you see either your tracked currencies or just the text "CurrencyTracker". If the latter shows up, just click the text and mark your currencies you want to watch.

Items are disappearing when I put them in my Bank/Bags!

Odds are, they are not :) Make sure that you have not accidentally hidden a bag from within Bagnon's frames.

I deleted a character, but his or her items are still showing up in Bagnon's listing. How do I get rid of him/her?

Bagnon does not really know when you remove a character, so you need to delete that character's information manually. To do so, Open up a Bagnon frame, and click the player selector button (the icon in the top left of the frame that looks like your character a bit). From there, you can select and delete information about any character that you're not currently logged onto.

Is there guild bank support?

Currently, no. I'm potentially working on it.

Can you track items in my mailbox?

Bagnon_Forever does not track mailbox items, and I have no plans on implementing support. If you want that kind of information, you should probably check out an addon that stores more information about your characters, like the Armory, or Altoholic.

Can you add in sorting?

I don't plan on implementing sorting in Bagnon, however, Bagnon works perfectly fine with things like BankStack.

Guild Bank

Is there a way to turn off Bagnon for the guild bank when you are guild lead, I can not purchase new guild bank tabs, without having to disable Bagnon then re-enable it afterwards?

Comment by project member j85a...@gmail.com, Sep 8, 2010

Not at this time, no.

Comment by rro...@gmail.com, Nov 11, 2010

Is there a way to turn off the quantity shown in the tooltip when you mouseover an item? Altoholic does the same thing, and so the quantity is shown twice in every tooltip.

Comment by project member j85a...@gmail.com, Nov 11, 2010

Turn off Bagnon_Tooltips? in the addons menu.

Comment by brigette...@gmail.com, Dec 12, 2010

Quest Item highlighting is not working for my bags or my bank, but works for my guild bank... any ideas?

Comment by project member j85a...@gmail.com, Dec 15, 2010

Not really, no :)

Comment by edisonzh...@gmail.com, Jan 17, 2011

is there a "organize button" for bagnon? for example like if i want to organize from purple to white rarity.

Comment by norsehea...@gmail.com, Jan 18, 2011

@edison: no. however bankstack is a great mod for that

Comment by zy...@zyran.com, Jan 20, 2011

I'm an altaholic that has trouble keeping track of where I've put stuff. I LOVE the search feature of bagnon. Is there any possibility of adding a search function that searches all the alt's bags?

Comment by troy...@gmail.com, Feb 13, 2011

I see you added guild bank support...is there a way to open this when you are away from the guild bank? Much like I can my bank.

Comment by project member j85a...@gmail.com, Feb 13, 2011

No, Bagnon_Forever doesn't track that information at this time.

Comment by troy...@gmail.com, Feb 14, 2011

Another question...how do I access the info / log tabs in the guild bank for each tab?

Comment by project member j85a...@gmail.com, Feb 14, 2011

Its not implemented in the Bagnon guild bank implementation at this time.

Comment by alexspen...@gmail.com, Feb 14, 2011

I am confused is there a possible way to take off bagnon for the guild bank or an alternative addon thanks

Comment by troy...@gmail.com, Feb 15, 2011

Do you plan on implementing it anytime soon? I am the GM for my guild and not having the ability to see the logs and modify the tabs is a pain. I love your addon on by the way!

Comment by project member j85a...@gmail.com, Feb 15, 2011

you can turn off the guild bank module from the addons menu

Comment by sende...@gmail.com, Feb 17, 2011

Regarding the new guild bank module: Currently when I mouseover an item in my bags, it tells me how many I have in my bags, bank, and other characters if applicable. Is there a way to track how many of an item you (may) have in your guild bank?

Comment by carros...@cox.net, Feb 17, 2011

You said, "you can turn off the guild bank module from the addons menu." Could you please explain how? I just can't seem to get my guild bank back to normal :/

Comment by louis.we...@yahoo.com, Feb 19, 2011

The latest update for Bagnon seems to have removed the tabs on the bottom of the screen for each bank tab, with the info, log and money log tabs for each bank tab? It can be very important to know who is taking items from the guild bank, quantity and items removed. If possivle can these be restored?

Comment by project member j85a...@gmail.com, Feb 20, 2011

@carros: Click the addons button that's on the bottom left corner of your screen when you go to select your character before logging into the game.

Comment by yoy...@gmail.com, Mar 3, 2011

it's normal to have the guild bank and the bank Bagnon Guild WoW at the same time when I consult? (that is disrupting the 2 windows:))

Comment by project member j85a...@gmail.com, Mar 3, 2011

no

Comment by goldrag...@gmail.com, Jun 21, 2011

Just upgraded to the newest patch of Bagnon and now I find the keyring gone. This isnt the issue as its still in the Wow interface. The problem now is there must still be hooks to the WOW interface as when you click on the interface you get the keyring but cannot access it. Im a blacksmith and I have the skeleton keys. To access now I have to disable Bagnon, restart UI, go to keyring and drag and drop the key to interface or just use it, then go back to addons and turn on Bagnon, reset UI and then go on with my business. Can you do anything for us like enable keyring or find where the hooks are still there. Thank you for your time.

The 4.2 beta version of bagnon is for wow 4.2. You want to install the old version.

Using Bagnon 4.1.1 (Version before Beta 4.2) I have no problems with any thing about bagnon EXCEPT! The keys do not show up and I cannot find an option to display the keys. PLUS, if I have my bags open, and then I click on the keyring, I have a bag disappear from my display. IT is a random bag so far as I can tell, but some of the slots in my main bag also disappear. Only solution is to reload the UI. (I use Carbonite and the Addon Control Panel to reload the UI without having to exit the game entirely. IF you wish, I can send some screen shots your way.

Comment by tperr...@gmail.com, Jun 26, 2011

Damn, I fixed the problem. I open the keyring first, THEN opened the bags. After that, I have not had any problem and even after shutting down the game and restarting, the problem has not reoccurred.

I wish I could send you a pic of the issue before I accidentally fixed it. :(

I'm having keyring issues, as well - I tried your suggestion of opening the keyring, first, but I'm getting the same wacky loss of bag slots as the other person; then I click on each bag to hide/show & the materials come back, and I see the keyring slots, but none of my keys are there. I discovered this with my blacksmith, after forging a ton of keys, which i can't seem to access at all, now. :(

to add to my prior comment, when I just disabled bagnon, and then clicked on my keyring, my keys are back, but it's still a little annoying to have to disable/re-enable in order to use both. And I'm a long time user of Bagnon & recommend it to my friends, so I don't want to lose my stylish bags. ;)

Comment by norbertb...@gmail.com, Jun 29, 2011

I've had a question for a long time to ask, and I don't know what addon it has to do with, so I'm posting this here as well as other places. When I mouse-over an item in my inventory there's a tooltip that says how many of that item I currently have on which toons, and where they're located (bags, bank, or mail). It also lists how many are in the Guild Bank. Now I have some toons that have moved a few times from one guild to another, and if the item was ever in any of their vaults then the tooltip lists every one, including some guilds that have themselves been deleted from the game. The problem was auto-solved on my desktop computer when it died & I had to get a whole new machine & do a whole clean install of WoW; but my laptop still kept the obslete info of Guild bank contents so I wanna clear that up.

First off I don't know if this is a feature of Altoholic, or Datastore (if so which one?), or Bagnon (or Bagnon_Forever, or another subset of Bagnon). I'm looking up both I still can't tell. If I knew exactly what addon it was, then maybe I could go into my WTF subfolders and delete the appropriate files from my toons' SavedVariables?, and then log into my toons 1 by 1 to create the files anew. If I need to delete the datastore files that keep track of ALL my inventory and rebuild the database one toon at a time that's fine, but I don't want to have to erase/reset/reinstall the ENTIRE primary addon and lose all of it's settings & other data with it. What should I do?

Comment by project member j85a...@gmail.com, Jun 30, 2011

Bagnon does not track guild bank information, so you can eliminate that. Beyond that, why not turn off altoholic, then log in and see if the stuff is displayed or not?

Comment by itsdiego...@gmail.com, Jul 13, 2011

Hey I use buttonfacade But for some reason whenever I change my settings they reset every time I log. plz fix

Comment by l3g4c...@yahoo.com, Jul 25, 2011

Is there a way to change to highlight quality to be a border color instead of highlight? I dont think the highlights are easily seen and would much rather see a green, blue, or purple square.

Comment by stones3...@gmail.com, Aug 1, 2011

Iv been using your add on for some time now and just started using NUI and when i go to my guild bank I get 2 guild bank windows one from Bagnon and the other from NUI is there any way to make it so that there is only 1 guild bank window? I have disabled NUI and tried it and bagnon works the way it should, and disabled bagnon with NUI enabled and it works right, but they don't work right together.

Is there any way to fix this from happening?

Comment by justinmi...@gmail.com, Aug 3, 2011

I might decide to go back to your addon when you get some guild bank support so i can shut the stupid thing off.. why did you mess with the guild bank anyway?

Comment by skarpeth...@gmail.com, Dec 4, 2011

i can no longer see the items in my bank when i open it from my inventory; it shows only the deafult in-game bag space, & even that is empty.

Also, have you removed the facility for opening your other characters' bags from your inventory? There used to be a character icon in the top-left of my inventory (as well as my bank), that when you clicked on it, you could open the bag for your other characters. That icon is now gone, and i have a friend using Bagnon who also said that character icon is gone from her Bagnon frame as well.

Comment by skarpeth...@gmail.com, Dec 12, 2011

Any idea when you'll be fixing the bugs/issues i mentioned in my last post?

i have come to rely on these missing features in Bagnon, & if they are not fixed i will be looking at changing to another add-on richer in functions.

i have already dumped Domino cos of UI integration issues i was having.
