Why this table of contents looks now same ugly like last year? Last time I looked (three weeks ago) we had a more nice welcome page on the wiki. Is there any reason?

Because it was not synchronized. And not so nice.

I think it was never intended to have all wiki pages in the "welcome box", but only a selection of the most important for newcomers.

For me it was a clear benefit to have this graphical element guiding first of all the new users.

the nice welcome page has a better expirience for guiding a user. this site-map is not as good as the welcome page. it should be somewhere, but not as a starting point.
