Uninstalling the extension if Chrome does not work.

If you get to a state when Chrome says Whoa just after you run it and you believe that this might be caused by TPGoogleReader, here's how to uninstall the extension without getting to chrome://extensions:

  • Locate the file C:\Documents and Settings\<User>\Local settings\Application data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Preferences, open it for editing.
  • Find the section that starts with "gimgcofdoijbpkkhhlepagbdcfafkehp": and delete it (some twenty lines). Make sure you also delete the comma after the previous section if it now becomes the last one (trailing comma before } is not allowed).
  • Save changes and run Chrome.
