One Day Soon, Torora Might Work on Android!
Updated Mar 26, 2011 by rob...@roberthogan.net

It kind of already does.

This is thanks to the Necessitas SDK.

We have an android branch.

We even have visual proof that it can run:

However, there are a couple of things blocking:

Android's CA cert bundle is not compatible with Qt and there is no obvious or easy way to fix that without Ministro/Necessitas or Torora shipping a certificate bundle of its own.

I think shipping our own isn't a bad idea in this age of #ComodoGate?! Otherwise, perhaps having it run in phobos "Live without a CA" mode is not a terrible experience.

Another note - any way to default it run in "Fullscreen" mode? I found that most of the menu UI isn't necessary to access, and it makes it look more like a native mobile app this way.

I've removed the desktop clutter from the latest version of the branch. See BuildOnAndroid for building it with proper android support.
