OCMS stands for Online Case Management System.
Purpose of this project is to build a php\mysql website which will be used for managing the case data.
Details
various possible cases are patients, students, farmers.
Patients: Now a days corporate hospitals are far away from the reach of poor/rural people. certain % of the people in the world hardly able to generate income to feed the family. Think of the terrible condition of the family of a one of them felt sick, and it it is a major thing like cancer, heart problem?
Students: There are many poor students who are talented and face difficulties because they don't have money.
It is not only patients or students,but there are many people who are suffering in many other means. need of most of the situations is a soothing hand helping the needy, some financial aid, moral support etc.
On the positive side, we have many NGOs, Voluntary organizations, donors who are ready to help genuine needy people. There are people who may not help monetarily but they have the domain expertize (doctors for example, or it could be some social worker who knows the hospitals etc).
How about having a portal which will integrate the needy with the rest of the society which want to help him out?
Initial thought process was to create OPMS (online patient management system) but after careful study of the various types of cases, we thought it is better to have a single portal which could address various types of cases. After all it is the needy who needs the help.
