Timeriffic
Profiles ListTo control Timeriffic, the user defines profiles. Each profile is a set of actions to be executed at a given time and users can toggle profiles on or off. For example there could be a profile for work, one for home, one for school, one for the movies, etc. Several profiles can be active at the same time.
Timed ActionsThe screen to create or edit actions lets the user define the day of the week, the time to run and specify one or more actions to carry. Timeriffic uses a background service to carry the actions at the specified time. To save battery, the service is started by a timer and shutdown when the action is completed, so it's not running between actions. There are plans to add more actions in the future, you can see here there's already a nice set of setting that users can control:
Android lets the user customize different sound volumes separately, which is very convenient, which means users can control:
Other settings that can be changed:
There is no direct support to control mobile data on/off. This is done however by supporting the APNDroid application, available on Market. Volumes changes also support the RingGuard protocol, also available on Market. MiscellaneousThe app features an introduction screen that opens when you first run it. This screen features a version log and credits. One very useful feature of the app is the Menu > Report Error screen. It lets users report feedback straight to the developers, either feature requests or bug reports. This works by generating a text email, which is then opened into the default email application (e.g. GMail or K9). Users can then review the email before sending it. We love user feedback and will generally reply to all emails we receive -- this is so much better than a "1-star doesn't do X" rating in Market, since we can actually reply to you so use it! (of course we love 5-star ratings in Market ;-)).
