Setting up the recorder

The first box you will we be shown, is the box shown above here. It features a login field with a box to write your Last.fm username, which is available at: https://www.last.fm/join/ . And it also features a box to write your password in. When you have obtained your Last.fm login and typed it in the boxes, you are ready to proceed, by pressing the loginbutton. When this is done you are ready to step down into the next field, where you can choose where the music will be saved. After this we proceed to the next field, where the playlist generator is located, to the left you can choose where the playlist will be generated from and to the right you can choose which format the playlist will be generated into, we have limited the number of formats to three (.pls, .smil and .m3u).

Is it possible to store downloaded files under the name that consists of: artist_name-album_title-song_title.mp3

Seems to be more handy instead of hundreds of folders...

Comment by jopsen, Dec 10, 2007

If you want to rewrite the source, and compile it yourself, that should be possible... :)

But at the moment, I don't think we'll add such feature. It'll just confuse people.

I cannot get it to play my playlist at all. It's driving me nuts since that is what I'd love to rip right now, plz help.

Comment by andreas.langmann, Jan 24, 2008

Your Playlist must contain at least 15 files with "play-icon" - and there is also some rule that it must contain multiple artists. So add some different albums and check the playlist for at least 15 playable titles.

Informations like this should be collected in documentation - so if someone has time for writing one in our wiki - you are welcome ;-)

Same here - no sound. Also in some cases I can't record my playlist. I select my playlist, but nothing happend.

Comment by jopsen, Feb 09, 2008

TheLastRipper? doesn't support audio playback, thus you should most certainly report a miracle if TheLastRipper? starts playing any music... Audio playback is on the roadmap an may be implemented in some distant future...

Comment by jascha.hilz, Feb 09, 2008

ok, but the problem, that I can't rocord my playlist still continues.

Comment by hengstbach, Feb 11, 2008

Comment by adam.oczos, Mar 03, 2008

Anything about new settings introduced in v1.3? I'm really interested in the role of Quarantine folder. Actually my records never get out of it. How does it work comparing with the standard music storage folder? Thx.

Comment by JaWeCo, Apr 03, 2008

Sometimes there does not work the program. I give an artist's name, press "artist" and nothing happens. Why not? Also another name changes nothing.

Comment by eljans, Dec 30, 2008

doesn't work

Comment by e...@ebndesign.no, Aug 01, 2009

Works fine, but sound quality is bad to the point of being useless. There is noticeable noise throughout in addition to numerous skips and digital scratches. This is not the way the music sound when streamed from last.fm.
