These are the known issues for the Linux version of TheLastRipper.

Different problems with ripping: ripping stops after one song or after some time. Could be a problem with last.fm servers so we need testing and feedback! TheLastRipper Version 1.1.1Currently no known issues, though skip, love and hate commands are known to be unstable. If you have a Dual Core PC running windows and TheLastRipper, we would like to hear from you. Skip function The skip function in the windows version is not working properly, but we are working on a bugfix. Remember Password function The windows version of TheLastRipper can not remember the password for your Last.fm account. But we are currently working on a bugfix. |

To record your LastFm? friends' stations: Copy & paste URL into LastRipper? i.e. http://www.last.fm/listen/user/emergingsynergy/personal Edit it to look like this: lastfm://user/emergingsynergy/personal Good to go!

i cant hear anything, even though it records the song that come up and are playing... but i cant hear the music
The Last Ripper dosen't play music, it only records.

I get an error that says "Strem just finished, discarding last song. Please restart ripping." For any station chosen.

ITs the same at my home pc
WinXP on AMD athlon 2700+
from my side, ripping works very fine - the last.fm software itself sometimes also gives the message "not enough songs for this playlist" - I guess that depends on the server capacities - I think TheLastRipper? also gets this message and gives the user the mentioned info "stream just finished...." - in my eyes can't depend on your machine - here also P4 3,0 Ghz and WinXP SP2
Hi guys. First I would like to say thanks for this great app. I have found a but though: It doesn't save songs if the album contains some bad chars, for example Slipknot's album called: Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)

I cannot log in, when I click on log in the window blinks and goes back to log in. Is this the problem with dual core processor?
There's no dualcore issues anymore, I think there ever was... However try deleting the config file: it located somewhere in documents and settings directory or a subdirectory..
Issues with error stopping after 30 min-3 hours This seriously causes issues!
I have the same no login problem. What is the name of the config file? An un-specified file "somewhere in documents and settings directory" is kind of vague.
config file is thelastripper.xml
I found one answer to this problem. Check for your username and password. Use simple code. ;)

Since a few days, "tune in" or searching of artists etc. doesn't work anymore. The windows blink and go back to log in. Even the trick with deleting the config file or reinstalling or changing username doesn't help. Anyone with the same problems?
Yes. Cannot Tune in anywhere. No error message. Just not working. (using XP / 1.30)
Maybe lastfm has done sth against Ripper?
Same problem here, but with mac. Just can't login.
If an song contains bracket (for example: "... (Radio Edit)") the automatic skipping does not work. The file is ripped a second time, a third time, ... and is stored like "... (Radio Edit)(2)"

Would it be possible to support Apple-style ID3-tags? So that e.g. album art can come bundled with the file itself.
I'd like to manually enter information in arbitrary ID3-tags, e.g.: comment:TheLastRipper? was here.

I occasionally get a "forbidden" error, with a bunch of stuff I don't understand. Sometimes it saves the song, other times it doesn't.
I have had the last ripper for a while now and it's just stopped recording music! I have the new version 1.3.0 .I don't know what to do! Does anyone know how to fix this?
