OSXInstallation

This is the guide on how to instal the last ripper on OSX.

App

TheLastRipper is using the app function in OSX. When you have downloaded and mounted the .dmg image file, you will be shown the box shown below, drag TheLastRipper app onto the applictions shortcut, and you are ready to start.

Mono

TheLastRipper for OSX requires Mono to run. Mono can be obtained at: http://www.mono-project.com/Downloads. When you have downloaded it to your computer you have to install it.

How can I uninstall mono? (I am using Tiger)

A simple uninstallMono.sh script is included in the disk image. This is shell script that must be run as root, and it will remove the Mono.framework and the links in /usr/bin.

Thx...the problem is, that the script is NOT included in the disk image! sorry! can u help?

I've installed both mono and thelastripper, but every time I try to start it up, it just closes back again (a crash?)... I'm kinda new at this, any clue on what could have gone wrong?

Have a look at issue 74, I think the OS X version may be a little broken...

I think the installation guide misses the fact that TheLastRipper? requires gtk# to be installed. But this doesn't come with the Mac OS X binary package and has to be compiled by the user himself and that's not an easy task for the average os x user.

TheLastRipper? does not require gtk#, it uses Cocoa# and requires mono... And Mac OS X 10.4... (it currently doesn't work with leopard...)

I've also installed both mono and thelastripper but mine also crashes on login. I would love to try this app so I'm really hoping u manage to fix the osx bugs. I'm running 10.4 on intel btw.

Hello

I do have a Power PC G4 with Tiger installed (10.4.11). I have installed both applications, TheLastRipper? and Mono and I worked fine the first time. The second time I wanted use it opened but I couldn´t log in.
