Viewing weather station locations using Google Earth

To be able to view the locations of WMO weather stations using Google Earth you will first need to download the WMO stations data, which can be found here. Then use the following command:

    tempgraph --wmo wmo.txt --kml weather_stations.kml

Where wmo.txt is the data file you downloaded and weather_stations.kml is the file which you will load into Google Earth.

The result should look something like this.

This provides a convenient way to browse stations and pick individual sites or groups of stations which may be of interest to plot as a graph. By clicking on each station you can see its WMO number.
