What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Load TestLayerSelect.html
2.Select items one by one or with "Select All" button

What is the expected output?

The shapes and text start out hidden, selecting check-boxes causes them to
appear.

What do you see instead?

With flash rendering the shapes remain hidden but the text appears.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system,
browser, and version of Flash?

svgweb-2009-09-16-Umberhulk-B.zip
Windows XP sp2 & RHEL5
IE7 - flash: WIN 10,0,12,36
Opera - flash: LNX 10,0,32,18
Firefox - flash: LNX 10,0,32,18

Please provide any additional information below. Reduced test cases are
always appreciated!

I've include some screen captures ff.png is native firefox, opera.png is
native opera and flash.png is opera with forceflash turned on. I noticed
this first with <path> objects, but it seems to apply to shapes as well.
If the shapes are visible to begin with it appears to work fine.

i found this bug too. any solution?
Comment 2 by bradneuberg, Sep 17, 2009
I think this might be a regression, related to issue 306 .
Comment 3 by grick23, Sep 17, 2009
Yes, it was a regression from r572.
I am not sure why you made the change to setAttribute. I do not see any difference in
photos.svg for that part of the change. Shall I undo it?
Comment 4 by bradneuberg, Sep 17, 2009
Strange, I can't remember why I made that change either :) Maybe revert it and then
run the photos.svg demo in IE to see if it works now?
Comment 5 by grick23, Sep 17, 2009
I don't see any difference on IE7.
Fixed in r871.
