It would be nice to be able to send emails whenever a download is added. Basically the same thing as the commit and issue emails. |

I use my Google Group, a Listserv and Project Blog posts to push this information to my users. But it would be nice if a Google account holder could subscribe to "Project Updates" email. These would be sent in a similar fashion to the way project owners get email related to wiki changes, new issues, svn commits, etc... with a checkbox to subscribe to any or all of these update types. -Bryan |

Notifications are a good idea, but we might not do it via email.

RSS or ATOM feeds sound good to me. :) -Bryan |

Issue 146 suggests an RSS feed of the Downloads. The original request here was for email notifications, but as jrobbins changed the summary to a broader one, the scopes of issue 146 and this one now overlap. |

Email notifications of "Project Updates" would be useful for my project's users also.

There are now Atom feeds for downloads. We will discuss notification by e-mail as well. http://code.google.com/feeds/p/google-web-toolkit/downloads/basic Substitute google-web-toolkit for your own project. There will be an Atom autodiscovery link for this in the next release. |
