We need to have the PDF file that shows the problem. If the PDF file is on the web, please post a direct link to that file. If not, please upload it to http://drop.io and post a link to that file on drop.io. Also, I don't understand what an "asp" is. Sumatra is a reader for PDF files. |

This PDF doesn't have startxref so mupdf fails to open it. It does open in FoxIt.

Per embedded metadata it was created with http://www.activepdf.com. The PDF is just one scanned page. |

Well, actually it does have a startxref but it is in the middle of the file with a lot of trailing html/javascript. In essence MuPDFs repair code is fooled into attempting to parse a PDF object by one of the javascript variable names being "obj". There may be a way to circumvent this, but it is just at the idea stage so far. One wonders why there are soo many broken pdfs out there... :-/ / Sebastian |
