If is frequently requested by users that connections should display a tab (different colors).
Have a look at the SmartFTP Client program for instance. They changed their GUI design from one almost identical to SQLyog to a tabbed interface around 2 years ago.

Posted on Aug 3, 2008 by Massive HippoI also am VERY interested in this exact feature. I have 5-6 pairs or sites, test / production, that look almost exactly the same DB structure wise, I would color all my production sites yellow, and all my testing sites green. Would make my life a LOT easier. Idealy, I would like to see Yog show connections as TABS which could be colored, but if that wasn't an option, then simply change the border around the code area to the selected site color.
Cheers!

Posted on Sep 22, 2008 by Happy PandaI'd like this as well. Definable background colors on a connection-by-connection basis would be very helpful.

Posted on May 17, 2010 by Swift CamelBugs in 8.5 Beta2 Test8:
- When we mouse-middle button click on empty space it still closes tab which is wrong.
- Flickers when we close the connection tab when using mouse-middle button.
- Sometimes the tooltip displays for one connection tab inspite shifting to another connection tab. Tooltip just hangs.
