Adding plugin support to Spotify

http://spotify-plugins.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/spotify_tools.png

This project* aims to provide plugin functionality for Spotify. Spotify's client currently lacks support for third-party plugins. The goal is to provide an API between the Spotify client and plugins.

Right now this project is more of a proof-of-concept than functioning software. However, it does work and there is an API available. In other words, it's entirely possible to create something useful for Spotify right now.

Upcoming features

Next on my to-do-list is to create a Last.fm-scrobbler. It actually is possible with the current plugin API. But to create a well-behaving scrobbler, it needs some extension (track length among other things)

When creativity strikes you, download the source code and see if there's anything you can do to help out. I'd really like to hear you opinion about this. From the beginning I made this for myself. But as with software, it probably is useful for someone else if it's useful for you.

Uhm.. Spotify?

If you haven't already heard about the hype surrounding Spotify, I highly recommend you to check out http://www.spotify.com. Or google it to see what the buzz is all about.
