Sportsleaderboard is a simple leaderboard system that can be used together with the FinishLynx timing system. It runs on a separate computer connected with a serial line. The program contains a web server and shows the results on a web page on the same server, if the computer is connected to a network all clients on that network can access the result page. The web page reloads itself there is no needs for user interaction, a screen shot of the page is found in the downloads area. Only a limited and small subset of the result information is currently supported, place, ID or track and time is showed. This is only because that is how we use FinishLynx, we use plain paper for administration of competitions.

We don’t have a fancy big leaderboard at our track and I thought why not use the serial interface and a computer to use as display and maybe another computer hooked up on a wireless network, its of course possible to use a projector with a PC for a big display if the light conditions allow it.

The zipfile in the download tab contains everything to run it (besides the Java run-time environment).
